of the name of a political party means a shortened version, or an acronym, of the partys name and does not include an alternative name of the party.

is taken in relation to a gift if any of the following action is taken:

(a) an amount equal to the amount or value of the gift is transferred to the Commonwealth for the purposes of this Division;

of voters for a Division means a list in electronic form that:

(a) contains the same information as the certified list of voters for the Division most recently prepared before the preparation of the list in electronic form; and

means:

(a) an entity that is controlled by one or more registered political parties; or

(b) an entity that operates wholly, or to a significant extent, for the benefit of one or more registered political parties; or

includes:

(a) Norfolk Island; and

(b) the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands; and

(c) the Territory of Christmas Island.

includes the Jervis Bay Territory.

means a passport issued under this Act.

Note: Australian passports must be issued in forms approved by the Minister (see subsection 53(2)). These forms may include diplomatic, official and emergency passports.

: a person the communication of electoral matter if:

(a) if the content of the matter is approved before the matter is communicated—the person approves the content of the matter; or

(b) otherwise—the person communicates the matter.

, in relation to a State or the Australian Capital Territory, means:
