structure.gov.au presents some of the information held in the Finance Knowledge Graph in a more user-friendly way.
structure.gov.au is used by the Department of Finance and other government organisations to gain timely insights about the governance and financial characteristics of the bodies that comprise the Australian Government.
By presenting existing information in different views and providing the links to allow browsing and exploration, structure.gov.au offers a new way to view the structure of the Australian Government, its functions, programs, outcomes and underlying legislative basis in a single website. The site also contributes Finance’s objectives, outlined in its Corporate Plan, to support the proper use of public resources by providing ready access to up-to-date and integrated information relevant to the operation of the resource and performance management frameworks established in the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
structure.gov.au is designed to be data-driven, rather than authored by individuals, which increases its efficiency and advances the goals of the Australian Government’s Data and Digital Strategy and the Department of Finance’s goal of establishing a data-driven and digitally enabled government.
We value feedback and are especially interested in feature and data requests that relate to the structure and operations of the Australian Government. The site uses Drupal CMS and runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Network graph visualisations used on structure.gov.au are created with Apache eCharts which is used under the Apache License, version 2.0.
