The program includes both the research quality evaluation framework, Excellence in Research for Australia, and the Engagement and Impact (EI) assessment framework, which assesses the engagement of researchers with end-users, and shows how universities are translating their research into economic, social, environmental, cultural, and other impacts. The ARC is working to implement the outcomes of the review of ERA and EI by transitioning ERA to a more modern, data driven approach informed by expert review.
