The Treasury, on behalf of the Government, provides financial support to the States and Territories to be spent on improving outcomes in the areas specified in each of the National Partnership agreements. These payments support the delivery of specified outputs or projects, facilitate reforms or reward jurisdictions that deliver on nationally significant reforms. This program is linked to programs administered by a number of other portfolios. This contributes to the linked programs by making payment on behalf of the following: Attorney-General?s Department; Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water; Department of Defence; Department of Education; Department of Employment and Workplace Relations; Department of Finance; Department of Health and Aged Care; Department of Home Affairs; Department of Industry, Science, and Resources; Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts; Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; Department of Social Services; and, Department of Veterans? Affairs.
