Description

The Government will provide $19.7 million over two years from 2023-24 to help parents support their children's health and early development. Funding includes: * $6.0 million over two years from 2023-24 to extend the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood's role to maintain and expand delivery of donor milk across Australia * $5.3 million over two years from 2023-24 to continue support for the Australian Breastfeeding Association's National Breastfeeding Helpline * $5.0 million over two years from 2023-24 to extend funding for Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder prevention, diagnosis and support activities * $3.4 million over two years from 2023-24 to continue activities that address declines in childhood immunisation rates for children at 5 years and under. The cost of this measure will be partially met from within the existing resourcing of the Department of Health and Aged Care. This measure will be partially offset by redirecting funding from the 2023-24 Budget measure titled Reinvesting in Health and Aged Care Programs.
