Provide additional funding of $18.7 million over 4 years from education student support programs.
The Government will provide additional funding of $18.7 million over 4 years from education student support programs. Funding includes:
* $17.7 million over 4 years from 2023-24 (and $4.7 million per year ongoing) in additional funding for the Higher Education Disability Support Program to enable providers to better support students with disability to access and succeed in higher education, including by helping to purchase equipment and modify teaching materials and delivery methods
* $1.0 million in 2023-24 to maintain the national Microcredentials Marketplace, which enables users to find and compare registered microcredential courses offered by tertiary education providers. The Government will also extend the Women in STEM Cadetships and Advanced Apprenticeships Program for two years to 30 June 2027, to provide new and existing participants more time to complete their science, technology, engineering and maths qualification while simultaneously continuing their careers. This measure will be fully offset by savings from within the Education portfolio.
