The Government will provide $2.8 million over 4 years from 2023-24 to streamline the delivery of the Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) and expand the exceptional circumstances criteria that can be applied to applications to backdate ACCS (child wellbeing) by more than 28 days. The changes will improve access to the ACCS (child wellbeing), which supports families that need practical help to support their child's safety and wellbeing. The cost of this measure will be met from savings identified in the 2023-24 Budget measures titled Child Care Subsidy Reform - additional integrity and Education - reprioritisation.
